The Housecleaning Tips Cleaning Guides

The Housecleaning Tips Cleaning Guides.

If you're in need of some house cleaning tips then you are in the right place.

Kitchen

Here are some household cleaning tips for your kitchen.
Wash off appliances. Unplug them, wash them down with a mild detergent and water. Rinse. Do not submerge them. Clean the refrigerator at least every two to three months thoroughly. Wash down everything and defrost the freezer. Move the appliances and clean under them. Most people don’t do this enough. Wash out your cupboards and pantry too. Dust collects there quickly. Don’t forget the top. Get rid of old products and expired spices. Not only do they not taste good, they are not healthy for you either.

Bathroom

Here are some cleaning tips for your bathroom.
Besides general cleaning, make sure you tackle the details in the grout. Grout should be cleaned regularly to prevent chipping, mildew and bacteria build up.
Floor boards. Throughout your home there are plenty of floorboards. Monthly, wash them down with a mild detergent and water. Rinse.
Decor. Even the decorations in your bathroom will get dirty. Make sure you use a damp cloth to dust them and clean off any debris.
Change the shower current every season. You get a fresh look and a clean shower.
Fixtures should be shined and kept clean. A big of polishing makes for a beautiful look. Make sure to wash off hard water stains too.

Living Areas

Here are some household cleaning tips for your living areas.
Dust furniture regularly. Make sure to polish hard woods to protect their shine and finish.
Have your carpets professionally cleaned throughout your home at least yearly or do it yourself with a high quality carpet cleaning machine.
Your fireplace should be cleaned in the spring and in the fall. Get rid of any and all debris, wash out and make sure brick and mantle are clean. Have it professionally cleaned before using yearly.
Don’t forget the electronics. They should be wiped down and dusted too.

Hardwood Floors

Got hardwood floors?
Talk about something that is frustrating to clean and maintain.
Cleaning hardwood floors and maintaining them can be done by you or by a cleaning hardwood floors professional.
With the different types of floors being sold in different styles like, do it yourself tongue and groove wood planks.
The solution to give your new floors a shine can be found at the local hardware store.
There are unsealed hardwood floors and sealed hardwood floors; both types of floorings need to be cleaned at one time or another.
Is your hardwood floor sealed or unsealed?
Once you can answer this question you can decide on what to use for cleaning hardwood floors.
Usually hardwood floors are protected with many layers of a protective finish or polyurethane.
The protective shield could be a high gloss or what is called a satin finish or a matte finish. In either case the hardwood floors should be vacuumed on a regular basis.

Some people find using a swifter cloth is very effective at picking up dust. Plus it is easier to clean under low furniture with a swifter type cloth than a vacuum.
When it comes to using a liquid solution to clean the sealed or unsealed wood flooring, you might use either a recommended hardwood cleaner from the company where the floor was purchased or just a damp mop with warm water and then towel dry.
Never leave water sitting on a wood floor as it can eat through the sealant and warp the wood.
A sealed wood floor would hold up better than an unsealed wood floor when any liquid solution is applied when cleaning.
